As of today, Germanna Community College's Office of Financial Aid has received 2068 Financial Aid applications (FAFSA) for the 2010-2011 Academic Year. Last year on this date we had received 1134 FAFSA applications for the 2009-2011 Academic Year. This change represents an 82% Growth from last year to this year thus far.
My thanks to our dedicated Financial Aid staff who have responded to the challenge despite having no additional help.

Furlough Day
Dear Germanna Employees,
We are pleased to announce the State Board for Community Colleges has approved our request to use current year revenues to allow us not to take an unpaid furlough day. This means faculty and staff will not have to forfeit a day's pay.
We had hoped we could take this action as a small way of recognizing how hard you are all working and of not causing harm to your paychecks.
Thank you for all you do for Germanna and our students.
