Germanna Community College was listed as number 28 on the list of fastest-growing community colleges with headcount enrollments between 5000 and 9999.
In data provided by the US Department of Education, Community College Week newspaper listed community colleges who grew rapidly between Fall 2007 and Fall 2008.

Germmanna Employees Generous Despite the Tough Times
The 2009 Combined Virginia Campaign has ended. This is an opportunity for state employees to use payroll deduction to give to charitable causes.
Germanna Employees donated a total of $15,346. Out of 133 State agencies that contributed, we were number 24 for total contribution. Our percentage of donation compared to last year is 109.2%. This is a great accomplishment and speaks highly of our faculty and staff who have gone without raises and have taken on additional work as our student enrollment grows by about 10% a year while our state budget continues to be cut.
I am very proud to work with such caring people.
