Died April 27, 2011 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 40, of New Haven, Conn., assigned to Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.; died April 27 in Kabul, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained from gunfire from an Afghan military trainee.

Died April 27, 2011 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 31, of Midlothian, Va., assigned to 83rd Network Operations Squadron, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va.; died April 27 in Kabul, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained from gunfire from an Afghan military trainee.

Marine Sgt. Sean T. Callahan
Died April 23, 2011 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 23, of Warrenton, Va.; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died April 23 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations. Also killed was Lance Cpl. Dominic J. Ciaramitaro.

Died January 12, 2011 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 28, of Texarkana, Ark.; assigned to 212th Military Police Detachment, Headquarters Battalion, Fort Belvoir, Va.; died Jan. 12, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked her unit with an improvised explosive device.


Army Spc. Sean R. Cutsforth
Died December 15, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 22, of Radford, Va.; assigned to 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died Dec. 15 at FOB Ghazni, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit using small-arms fire.

Army Cpl. William K. Middleton
Died November 22, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 26, of Norfolk, Va.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died Nov. 22 in Ghotamudkha, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Also killed was Army Staff Sgt. Sean M. Flannery.


Army Pfc. Tramaine J. Billingsley
Died October 14, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 20, of Portsmouth, Va.; assigned to the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.; died Oct. 14 while conducting combat operations between Moqur and Darreh-Ye-Bum, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. Also killed were Spc. Rafael Martinez Jr. and Sgt. Carlos A. Benitez.

Died September 17, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 27, of Richmond, Va.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died Sept. 17 in Maquan, Zhari district, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Marine Lance Cpl. Cody S. Childers
Died August 20, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 19, of Chesapeake, Va.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died Aug. 20 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.


Marine Sgt. Ronald A. Rodriguez
Died August 23, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 26, of Falls Church, Va.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; died Aug. 23 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.


 Navy Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Jarod Newlove
Died July 28, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 25, of Renton, Wash.; assigned to Commander, Navy Reserve Force Command, Norfolk, Va.; died in Logar province, Afghanistan, when he was captured and believed to have been killed by the Taliban. Coalition forces recovered his body July 28 after an extensive search. Also kidnapped and believed to have been killed by the Taliban was Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Justin McNeley.

 Army Staff Sgt. Christopher F. Cabacoy
Died July 5, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 30, of Virginia Beach, Va.; assigned to 1st Squadron, 71st Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.; died July 5 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. Also killed in the attack was Army Pfc. Edwin C. Wood.

Died July 2, 2010 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom

 19, of Fredericksburg, Va.; assigned to the 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died July 2 in Asad, Iraq, of wounds sustained July 1 in a non-combat-related incident in Khan Al Baghdadi, Iraq.

Died June 22, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 41, of Fort Belvoir, Va.; assigned to 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died June 22 of injuries sustained in a non-combat-related incident at Camp Clark, Afghanistan.

 Army Pfc. Alvaro R. Regalado Sessarego
Died May 30, 2010 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom

 37, of Virginia Beach, Va.; .assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; died May 30 at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, of injuries sustained April 18 in a noncombat-related incident at Dahuk, Iraq.


 Cpl. Nicolas D. Parada Rodriguez
Died May 16, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 29, of Stafford, Va.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died May 16 while supporting combat operations in Marjah, Afghanistan.

Died May 12, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

Died April 22, 2010 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom

 35, of Virginia Beach, Va.; assigned to the 702nd Combat Support Battalion, 4th Stryker Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died April 22 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a non-combat-related incident.


 Navy Lt. Miroslav S. Zilberman
Died April 2, 2010 serving during Operation Enduring Freedom

 31, of Columbus, Ohio; assigned to Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121, based at Naval Base Norfolk, Va.; died after his E-2C Hawkeye crashed into the Arabian Gulf on March 31, 2010. The recovery effort was abandoned on April 2, 2010 and his body was not recovered.

 Army Cpl. Steven J. Bishop
Died March 13, 2010 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom

 29, of Christiansburg, Va.; assigned to the 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion, 352nd Civil Affairs Command, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died March 13 in Tikrit, Iraq, from a noncombat-related illness.
